Intimate wedding at Queen Elizabeth Park: Taylor + Hayden
When writing this post I can only think of how happy I am that Taylor and Hayden got to celebrate their intimate wedding at Queen Elizabeth Park in September! Right now (December), everything is so much more limited because of Covid. And these two already had to give up too many plans.
Originally they planned to get married in Hawaii, but of course that couldn’t happen. So they let go of the idea of a destination wedding and went for a local option instead: the Bloedel Conservatory. With the tropical plants, it was a location with a wink to Hawaii. Unfortunately the conservatory stopped hosting weddings too and so Taylor and Hayden ended up with wedding plan number 3: the Queen Elizabeth Park celebration pavilion.
They definitely endured extra wedding planning stress with all the Covid-19 changes, but despite all that, they remained positive and made it happen. Including the required extremely strict seating arrangement. I think that’s a great start of their marriage! (Not the stress, lol, the fact that they coped so will together and just rolled with life’s punches)
Regardless of the changes of plans, it’s definitely fun that we explored the gardens with them, as both Taylor and Hayden work in landscape architecture. And the weather, despite the forecast, also cooperated and the sunset made everything extra beautiful. The evening felt like such a treat to us, especially with being less busy than usual. Couples that went ahead with their wedding in these Covid times will always have a special place in my heart! Love is not cancelled!
Thank you for having us guys! I hope you’ll get to enjoy a lot more camping and hopefully that faraway travel can happen again in 2021!
