Amanda and Hamed’s Hycroft Manor wedding was our first wedding after Covid-19 happened. The entire time we were both extremely excited to be at a wedding again! And I can’t say enough good things about this fantastic duo.

They wanted to get married in Vancouver with their closest family and friends, before moving to the US later that month. So despite everything being a bit covid crazy, they just went for it! I love how they incorporated cute guests mask favours, together with a monogrammed bottle of hand sanitizer in the wedding. Way to embrace all the challenges and make it fun!

The couple also chose to have a beautiful Sofreh Aghd at the ceremony, to celebrate Hamed’s Persian background. He told us his own wedding was the first Persian wedding he attended. How amazing is that, though! I love the idea of honouring your heritage and incorporating traditions in your own unique way.

The ceremony was live-streamed, so all the people that couldn’t make it, were able to attend! Big shoutout to Shyah, who did an amazing job! Side note, it’s definitely worth it to have a videographer take care of life streaming! Not only will you have pro video footage, the sound quality makes a huge difference for your guests too!

Afterwards we enjoyed a short stroll through the property for couple portraits. Hycroft Manor is such a beautiful and diverse environment! You could easily take photos there for hours. We mostly stayed outside because you know us, we are all about nature!. But we loved the green room too!

After that, we stayed for the cocktail hour, which included a fun game, I think I like this better than the shoe game, haha. See if you can find what I’m talking about below! 😉 And this duo had no less than two live guitarists performing at different times. In short, it all added to the fun summer vibes. (Can you tell cocktail hour is my favourite part as a guest? lol)
