Forest elopement: Ty + Ryan

When first chatting with Ty and Ryan about their forest elopement, they only had one goal: have a good time with their friends. And to do so in the forest. 🙂 As it happened with many couples in 2020, they opted for an intimate experience now and will celebrate a bigger day on the same date later on. They told us they love the look, feel and energy of the forest photos. So that’s exactly what happened. The two of them, their adorable dog Pino and their friends hiked into the forest together for a beautiful sunlit ceremony.

Every time in the forest I’m in awe of how nature changes. And how the sun (or sometimes lack thereof) changes how everything looks. Even when in a location that we’ve photographed before, no two days are the same. For Ty and Ryan’s elopement, the forest brought some magical light! And thanks to the amazing West Coast evergreen forests, even in fall the greens stay lush.

Kudos to the two of them for raising such a well behaved dog, btw! Pino did absolutely amazing during the ceremony and portraits. One of my favourite photos of the day includes a Pino photo bomb, haha, see if you can tell which one. 😉

Also kudos to Ty, Ryan and their friends for going down (and back up!) a pretty intense set of stairs (aka workout) to visit a different part of the forest.

Thank you so much for having us you two! We hope you’re having a great start of 2021. 🙂
