Squamish and the entire Sea to Sky area is one of our favourite places to hang out, so when Setareh and Eliar agreed on meeting us on one of the gorgeous beaches for their engagement photos, we were thrilled! The two of them love the nature in BC, so that was definitely a good call. The drive alone feels immediately like you’re going on vacation, with the epic mountains and the impressive Howe Sound inlet.

Setareh and Eliar flew in from the East Coast in July. This way they could do a bit more in person wedding planning for next year, as well as Setareh making use of some downtime to finish her thesis! By the time our shoot came around, extra celebration was needed, because she just finished it! This deserves a big congratulations! If you’ve ever written one, you know the exhaustion of this process. (Both Jelger and I went through it and had the occasional nightmare for years after, lol.)

We loved spending time with the two of them. My favourite moment was when Setareh suggested she’d like to dip her feet in the water. Ehm, yes! And Eliar bravely joined her. Despite it being summer, the water was still very cold! But it’s always worth it! This couple also conquered so many barnacles and sharp rocks on the beach and climbed out everywhere we thought was a good idea, hehe. 😉
